I was actually a little disappointed in the second one, and I heard the third one was gonna be even more bluesy, and not as rockin', like the first one was. I would still like to hear them both though.
Very good band.

Yeah i have to agree with Lycan on this one. Although the first had it'z momentz(The ace single `Walking Shoes` for one) the second was a hell of an improvement if you ask me. Great album, great band.

My fave off the 1st was 'Guilty', and I liked 'Wild America' off #2, but haven't really listened to them that much. Will have to check Tora Tora again.

Whyte Lace...did they ever record anything? Anything at all? All I've ever seen are pics and a few reviews in old magazines. I thought they looked/sounded cool from the description...

No offense taken, Lycan. You either, bandwagon jumper! It may have been the time I got them too. I got the first one when it first came out, and I saw walkin' shoes on the headbangers ball. Plus, I went and saw them on tour for that album with Dangerous Toys and L.A. Guns. Met them, and got autographs....but I just love the 2 ballads on that one, especially "Phantom Rider".....but just about every song kicks ass on that one. Riverside Drive, 28 days, She's Good, She's Bad, Guilty, etc. It's just one of my faves. I still pull it out all the time....so I wanna hear more when they were young and kicked ass. IMO, there was some filler on Wild America. Don't get me wrong. I liked it, just not as much.

lol! Who was the bandwagon jumper comment to?

I agree though Dan, the debut was a great album and Phantom Rider certainly was a great song. And also One For The Road. I still have my CD i bought many moonz ago here, but in all honesty i did prefer the 2nd release. Maybe it'z just me but the same with Spread Eagle also... i found `Open To The Public` to be a much much stronger album than the debut and the debut i rate very highly so ya can imagine my thoughtz on `Open To The Public`. Some ace balladz on there

Haha! Yeah you, Bandwagon jumper! Yeah, I forgot "One for the road"...my motto!!
To each his own. Like I said, all good. BTW, I prefer Spread Eagle's debut too! I think it has to do with when you just discover a band, and you really dig 'em, then you play the shit out of it, so you end up loving most of it, if not all....then, a few years later, when the second one comes out, it always seems like a dissapointment. IMO, there are very few bands who's second (or later) albums are better than their debut. I'd say it's at least 95% for me. There are a few, but very few.

You're a BW Jumper for agreeing with Lycan, ya nut.

I agree with you though Andii. I liked the first Spread Eagle when it came out, but really only for a few songs. Then "Open" came out, and I bought it, and it stayed in my rotation for YEARS! That album blew me away! I need to bust that one out again.

Oh, now since I agreed with you, Dan will accuse me of jumping onto a bandwagon.
